Chicago Fire star Jake Lockett and actress Dominique Domingo, whose known for costarring alongside Ben Affleck in movie The Accountant 2, have revealed that they eloped to Hawaii last month.

They exchanged wedding vows in front of their parents in an “intimate” ceremony near a waterfall on the north shore of Kauai, Hawaii, on June 18, they told PEOPLE.

The actors chose to bring only their parents, along with photographer Ashley Uptain and videographer Zac Ramos.

“We both felt like anything bigger than our immediate family wouldn’t allow us to focus on each other as much on our day,” Lockett told the magazine. “So, keeping it small and simple was imperative.”

After all, Domingo, who wore a dress from Maggie Sottero, explained that the theme was nature.

“There was no need for added décor because Mother Nature handled it all,” she said. “We wanted the vibe to be serene, intimate and peaceful and that’s exactly what it was.”

The couple, who met at a commercial audition, exchanged handwritten vows and included elements of earth and water in the ceremony to represent “purifying and unifying.”

They also enjoyed their loved ones on the days-long getaway.

“Our families had never met, so making sure we had time to commune together was important to us,” Lockett said. “Cooking meals together, sitting and watching our favorite funny movies together, hanging in the water and learning about each other, all those things helped to make the family aspect that much more special.”

Domingo’s other credits include working as a dancer in La La Land and on the Netflix show Running Point.

He announced his departure from NBC drama Chicago Fire, on which he’s played Sam Carver for the past three seasons, in April.

“While I don’t exactly know what the future looks like, I do know that it won’t be exactly what it was and I am going to miss the hell out of that. So much pride in this journey,” he wrote on social media. “It’s been an honor bringing Sam to life and to every one of you, thank you for the love and support over the past three years.”
