June 30-July 4 will be an emotional week on The Young and the Restless. This week’s video preview reveals one character preparing for their final goodbye, while tension arises between two exes. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s ahead.

In France, Devon (Bryton James) is still fuming over Cane’s (Billy Flynn) stunt of pretending to be Aristotle Dumas. He wants to know what his former brother-in-law’s plan is, so who better to ask than Amanda (Mishael Morgan)? However, Devon’s attempts to get information from the lawyer don’t go well. The former couple starts arguing, and Devon accuses Cane of inviting them there to cause a distraction. Amanda shoots down his theory, then says, “Even if I knew all about it, why would I reveal any of that to you?”

Devon’s hunch about Cane might be right. While everyone is still in France, Cane flies to Genoa City for an important meeting. As it turns out, he has another secret partner to help with his plan. “I trust you managed to keep our little arrangement under the radar?” he asks his associate. “I can promise you no one suspects a thing,” Holden (Nathan Owens) replies. With Cane and Holden working together, one must wonder what this means for Genoa City’s businesses.

Elsewhere, Cole (J. Eddie Peck) is in the hospital after another health scare. The author has been battling a lingering medical issue that’s making him weaker. Although Claire (Hayley Erin) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) are trying to remain positive, they’re wracked with worry. Their concern increases when Cole asks them to come to the hospital. “I needed to see you both again. I’m glad you made it back in time,” he says. “In time for what?” Claire asks. “To say our goodbyes,” Cole replies. Is this really the end for Cole? Or will a last-minute treatment save him?
